The two derby games against West Brom could prove to be crucial this season, and the game on Sunday could prove to be season defining.
It could turn out to be a good thing that this game was postponed back in December. The Baggies were sitting comfortably in mid table, with a manager that looked destined for greater things. But fast-forward less than two months and everything has changed for them.

For the first time in years, we finally seem to be playing West Brom on a level playing field. I genuinely think we have a better squad, with better players and players more likely to come out on top in a derby. When you look through the Albion team, they lack a leader and miss Mulumbu this week through injury, which will be a huge loss for them. Players like Berra, Zubar, O'Hara, Henry and Milijas have all played in huge derbies at previous clubs or with us in Henry's case. That experience will be huge for us.
The only change could be Kevin Foley in for Zubar, but only because he is doubtful for the game. If you are looking at tactical changes, Mick might sacrifice quality for running and bring Dave Edwards in for Nenad Milijas or Jamie O'Hara.

I think it will be a cagey affair, it is a huge game for both teams and while I'd like to see us attack their fragile defence I would be happy with a point. A win by two goals would see us leapfrog them in the table, but I'm plumping for a low-scoring draw. 1-1
Despite their poor form it is a tough game!
ReplyDeleteBut I think we can do it. .If we go about it positively and keep the ball, frustrating it. Their fans will be nervous. The pressure is on them
not sayin that you wont beat the albion, which will because our denfense is so poor, buht why are you bottom if your so brilliant??
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know where I said we were brilliant.
ReplyDeleteAll I have said is that I think we have a better side than them, and more experienced heads.
Thanks for commenting. May I ask who you support?
i'd like you to tell me where you saw him once mention we were brilliant???
ReplyDeleteWe're brilliant when we're playing our best football: when we beat Man U, Man city, Chelsea, Tottenham
ReplyDeleteOther times we're not that brilliant, Karlir-Johanarnt looks at the table
... And the Wolves are marching on on ON
towards victory.
you don't sound very confident Ollie
ReplyDeleteI think you are right.
ReplyDeleteAt times, when we keep the ball we can be brilliant. What we need is consistency!!! it was around this time last year that we got that too.
we're brilliant against the brilliant teams and sh*t against the...oh dear, Bob scratches his chin.
ReplyDeleteOnly a Wolves fan could write that Blog, how sad and misguided you all are, telling one and other how good you are whilst sitting firmly at the bottom of the table for most of the season, and dont go talking about injuries or bad luck Blah Blah, its just cos your crap.
ReplyDeleteyou better call the taxidermist for sunday, cos your little wulfie is gonna get stuffed
ReplyDeletebottom of the league = worst team in the league, and you cant argue with that
ReplyDeletedisillusioned self proclaiming load of shite
ReplyDeletePlease point out where Louie said we were so good. All he hs said is that he thinks we are a better team than Albi*n, and I agree.
ReplyDeleteYou have the right to think Albi*n are better than us, and we wouldn't have a go at you.
Then again, I guess you are just stupid.
DoyleisSuperman, Wow you mastery of the english language and your ability to debate takes my breath away
ReplyDeleteMatt, Wow you are clearly a worried fan of the shite.
ReplyDelete"better squad" "better players" Less points, how does that happen then DoyleyMan
ReplyDeleteA better squad, and having better players does not guarantee a better team or league position. Look at Aston Villa, at Everton and try telling me the players Stoke and Bolton have are better than them.
ReplyDeleteWolves have only shown what they can do in bits, which is not good enough yet but find some consistency and we could be okay. It's going to be very close, you should worry about yourselves though Matt as you and Blackpool are obviously on the slide right now.
Well its a good point, but wolves have scored 9 goals all season away from home, so even against our defense I cant see you scoring tomorrow. Just as our season changed dramatically with the unfair loss at Blackpool last year, it will change again with the victory over wolves on sunday. I just cant see how you think you have better players, Odemwingie misses a few, but he has still scored 9 goals and only played half the season, Somen Tchoyi, Graham Dorrans and Chris brunt have all scored more than your strikers have managed.
ReplyDeleteI want both teams to stay up, but I dont think you will get any points from Albion this season.
Bonne Chance
Hennessy is the only wolves player I would take
