A fourth consecutive defeat and even the most optimistic supporters, like myself, will start to worry and wonder where we are going.
Newcastle have surprised most of the critics so far this season, remaining unbeaten so far and lying in fourth place. With Hatem Ben Arfa just regaining match fitness, it's looking bright for Alan Pardew's men.
Back to Wolves, who desperately need a good start to the game. If we play like we did in the second half last week at Anfield and take our chances then we could get a decent result as surely Newcastle are due a defeat soon?

Doherty could make his first league start |
The only other possible change to the starting line up could be the youngster Matt Doherty replacing Richard Stearman, who is doubtful for the game. It is brilliant to see a young player get a chance, even though it came through injury. Whenever he has played in the first team, he has looked confident and assured.
Our possible line up:

Kevin Doyle is due a performance |
Hennessey
Doherty
Johnson
Berra
Ward
Hunt
Henry
O'Hara
Jarvis
Doyle
Fletcher
With that line up, I'm confident. There's goals in that team, and we are due a couple or more. I'm going with 2-1 to Wolves.
Wolves really need to get back to winning ways in this game, though Newcastle will be a tough nut to crack, though hopefully at home they have enough about them to get something out of the game.

these overrated geordies have been riding a wave of good fortune, as it were. it's all about to go wrong, trust me, it always does
ReplyDeleteWait and see Russ
ReplyDeleteI cannot see Wolves scoring twice tbh, and Newcastle have only conceded 3 goals all season so I would say Wolves scoring twice goes against the respective form of both clubs.
ReplyDeleteNo need to be so bitter russ you're over rated in your league position because you deserve to be bottom. I think it will be a tight game and it might just be down to Kelvin Henry to supply the quality as we know he's a midfield magician.
ReplyDeleteJarvis is your only decent player the rest are average at best.
Newcastle fan here. I like Wolves and am HUGE fan of Doyle, Colo needs to keep him quiet tomorrow! Being slightly biased, IF we get the lead I'd be hugely confident of winning as we keep it tight at the back and with Tiote and Cabaye in the middle we can control the game against anyone outside the top 5/6. Good luck for the rest of the season and make sure you beat the Mackems when it comes to playing them!
ReplyDelete3 - 1 Wolves, as long as we carry on from the performance @ Anfield.
ReplyDeleteWhat are all these deluded Mackams doing on here???
Really optimistic about getting a win here...
ReplyDeleteThat's probably a dangerous mindset though! :P
Bit out of date boys. Don't wanna spoil it but you get turned over by the mags.
ReplyDeleteDidn't realise Wolves played Wigan and NUFC at the same time.
ReplyDeleteTOON ARMY FOR EVER.
