Farewell Big Chris, welcome Jelle!

Yesterday we saw one player head out of the Molineux, while one came in the other way.

Big Chris Iwelumo is off to relegated Burnley, in a deal reckoned to be around £500k. Iwelumo played a huge part in our promotion, scoring fifteen goals in the first half of the season. He was a hit with the fans, as he formed one of the most feared strike partnerships in the country with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake. He started the season injured, and found himself down in the pecking order. He went out on loan, got a couple of goals for Bristol City and came on as a sub in the last few games.

It's a good move for him, at Burnley he will play more football, and he will be playing at a level that suits him. Good luck, hope to see him in the Premier League with Burnley.

We also made our third signing for next season. Following Adlene Guedioura and Geoffrey Mujangi Bia is Jelle Van Damme. His name is a dream come true for news websites (I haven't made a stupid joke about it), and he plays at the back and sometimes in midfield. His preferred position is left back, which is why we have signed him. We are in need of a decent left back, now I think we need a midfielder and maybe a striker (could be Fletcher).

Looks like a good signing, we shall see.

A real man, I wish him all the luck at his new club.

Jelle, looks like a solid player who will hopefully end our left back problem.

    come on you Wolves!

  2. Iwelumo was never going to be good enough for the Premier League and McCarthy should've got rid of him last summer. Does this mean big Stefan is going to be the target when we have our customary last desperate ten minutes of hoof it next season?
