Murphy is the brainless one

Does Danny Murphy honestly think his comments will help?

This will do him no good in anyway. Against the teams mentioned, they will be fired up and he will be a target. Let's hope the FA ask him to explain his comments. It's stupid.

Have any managers complained? Chris Hughton didn't, Mark Hughes didn't, David Moyes didn't. Tackles are part of football and if he can't handle that he should quit.

What's weirder is that he's not exactly a clean player. When we went to Fulham, the two worst tackles of the game were by his side and one of them by him!

As good as player as he is, he has certainly gone down in my estimation. He'll get a great reputation at the Molineux, not forgetting the Britannia and Ewood Park.

  1. very cynical attempt to increase the pressure on the teams he mentions. let's hope nobody in the wolves camp rises to the bait. I wonder who fulham play next. Despite being unbeaten they have only one win in their first seven too. He might come to regret this little outburst....

  2. Pulis, McCarthy, Allardyce. Sending their teams out with bad intentions according to Danny. Who is the Fulham manager again?

  3. Absolutely. It's a joke.

It's backs to the wall for us, we always seem to do well in these situations. COYW

  4. The current spate of hard tackles and spoiling tactics is a natural and inevitable consequence of the inbuilt financial inequalities of the premier league. Unlike the days of my youth, all the real quality players are snapped up by a handful of very rich clubs. What are the rest supposed to do? Play them at their own game and lose every week? No, they use the strengths they have, and you can't blame them for that. It's the rich clubs that pushed for the existance of the Premier League, and them that prevent a more equable distribution of its riches. Let 'em whinge!

  5. If Danny Murphy thinks that Fulham under Mark Hughes will be any different in style to the teams he has mentioned he is in for a shock! As oldleemillgold pointed out, it's about money and Fulham (despite their multimillionaire owner) are not man city. I hope they find themselves in the relegation battle as it will be interesting to see if Danny keeps his place in Hughes' team when the going gets tough
