Great pass from Zubar! |
I've seen ones like them given offside, if it had been us would they have been brought back? The defending for the second goal is terrible. One of the main rules you are taught as a defender is too never let it bounce like that, why were they so deep too? Apart from both goals, we defended doggedly and frustrated some of the best attackers in the country. Downing was very quiet, Milner disappeared after twenty minutes and Young was lively, but wasteful.
I thought our two best players were Jones and Jarvis. Cuellar didn't have a clue what to do with Matty, he got past him time after time and assisted that second goal. Jones got us going, plucking it out of the air and getting us going. Henry was solid, and how fantastic was that clearance off the line?!
Why take Guedioura off, someone who gives us that extra bite in the middle, and put on Elokobi? Maybe he was injured, but that doesn't explain putting Big George on. Or was Mick just trying to be clever again? He could have put Mancienne on in that role, which later hie did. Ward still seems to be playing with an injury, he played OK, and Elokobi also did fine when he played there.

The boys will certainly be confident enough on their travels to London. It's a massive game, it could get us very near to safety and put West Ham in the relegation battle.

We have a chance to get away from the rest but no, somehow we found a way to f*ck it up.
ReplyDeleteDisgusting defending, defenders are taught that from the age of seven.
Mental Mick has some explaining about Guedioura coming off.
Harsh Dunsworth, I thought they battled magnificently. Berra especially, best I've seen him play.
ReplyDeleteKeep the same team and batter West Ham. we win this we can get away from the battle down below
Mrs Dunsworth, you'd have found a way to complain this season if we'd finished in the Champions League places.
ReplyDeleteA superb point at Villa Park. Could we have won from the situation we were in? Yes. But it's still a brilliant result. Let's hope we can produce similar at Upton Park.
Louie, those two comments above from 'custom home plans' are spam. Delete or they'll just keep coming back.
Slendid battling performance from the boys. No idea what Mrs Dunsworth is talking about and Thomas is absolutely right. A point at Upton park and maybe another against Everton and we are edging our way towards safety
ReplyDeleteOops, splendid even
ReplyDeleteCheers Thomas, wasn't sure what to think when I saw them before.
ReplyDeleteIs Mrs Dunsworth a boggie in disguise? I have no complaints over a two all draw with sixth and against the best defence in the league!
What a f*****g team! We're heading for mid-table (well alright 6th from bottom will do me). Mick's right about Zola though. Is he goona get done for fielding a weakened team? I don't think so
ReplyDeleteWit, I couldn't have put it better myself old chap. The much maligned Mr McCarthy has been proved right yet again.
ReplyDeletewell Mccarthy has got us into the premier league and we might even survive for a season but he's not gonna take us any further now is he? I think we should ditch him at the end of the season and bring in someone more suited to this division, even maybe bring back Hoddle who definitely has the reputation to attract bigger stars and even gets his sides playing a style of football more suited to the premier
