Could the Kightly of old be back? |
Yes, Christophe Berra scored a goal, for Wolves! It was the winner too, in a 3-2 victory against Walsall.
It was a game full of positives. Michael Kightly looked sharp and got a goal, as did Leigh Griffiths.
A couple of the youngsters did well too, Danny Batth was impressive next to Jody Craddock in the first half. For me, he is our most promising youngster and is the most likely to feature in any games once the season begins. David Davis put in a strong performance in midfield, and Kristian Kostrna picked up where he left off at Crewe.
Roger Johnson could be heard bellowing out orders once again, which is promising. We knew what we would get with him but it really is pleasing to have a competent leader at the back who will also help our other defenders progress.
Davis looks awesome, Better than the waste Henry. griffiths looks lively, Kightly looked like he didnt know what to do with 1 on 1s with his fullbackbut still got the job done when he wasnt caught in 2 minds. Big george looked IMMENSE. Danny Batth looks like he can get a few games with Johnson next season too.
ReplyDeleteJarvis and hammil completely destroyed them when they came on too, Doyle chased down everything as usual. Good run out for the lads.
They never did find that pic of Berra scoring and celebrating, did they?
ReplyDeleteAh well...it was a great game - especially all the action in the first half! :)
